Saturday

Today we:

- woke up at 7:30 to the only alarm clock we enjoy

- did dishes

- moved a desk from the guest room upstairs to the empty dining room downstairs

- walked to my parent's house

- convinced my parents to go to goldbergs for dinner

- went to church at 7

- relaxed on the couch

A little different than last week's moving adventures. I love having no schedule or commitments. If only life was always like this!

Popsicles

I made these smoothie pops today and they seriously hit the spot, if I do say so myself. Just a little taste of summer on this 91 degree day. I foresee several in our future!

Speaking of summer, I'm sort of pretending I'm already there. It feels like it at least. I feel like the school year should be over. I feel ready to be in our new house and start our lives in St. Louis. I better find a way to either snap outta this funk or somehow make it through these next 4 weeks. This is almost worse than senioritus!

Letter to the Easter Bunny

Remember how I said I wasn't fond of the Easter bunny? This is something I've felt for a while.

Here is a translation of a letter I wrote in 1st grade:

Dear Easter bunny, I am scared of you. I don't mean to be mean. I love you but I am just scared of you. I hope you are not mad at me. Please write a note saying are you mad or not. I do love you. In the duck a penny is here. Please take it out. I love you.

Thank you mom for saving all of my work and putting it in 17 scrapbooks so I can refer back to things like this!

Nap time

Nap time = pack time these days. I'm slowly getting there. And the more I pack the more excited I get about moving into our new house. You guys, we've only stepped foot in our house once before for 45 mins tops! Isn't that nuts? Needless to say, we can't wait to see this expensive purchase again in person. And explore what it has to offer.....and to decorate (my fave)!

Did you have a great Easter? We did! We were super busy with both our families, which is exactly what it's all about. Not to mention, our little judebug only had 2 quick visits with daddy to the cry room during our hour and a half mass. Not too shabby, little one!

More pics to come later!

Morning

I'm capturing this moment because it is simple and perfect.

- it is raining/cloudy outside and the grass is freshly mowed and lookin green. Gorge. (did I tell you that I trimmed the edges of the yard, too? I hate that part. It took forever for me to teach myself how to thread the darn thing. I must've looked frustrated because when the mailman walked by to deliver the mail, and I asked him how he was, his response was, "better than you. I hate dealing with those trimmers." No big deal though I got it...and was excited the mailman had only made it across the street by this point and could hear my accomplishment in the form of a trimmer roar. How lame that I was excited. Want to know something cute? our mailman walks from house to house. All the mailboxes in our area are by the front doors of the houses. I think this will be a requirement for every house I own. I think it makes for a very ideal neighborhood)<---hello tangent! Let's get back to my perfect morning.....

- I'm drinking coffee. Instant happiness

- baby is napping

- it is Easter tomorrow!

- Father of the Bride Part 2 is on (did you know it was filmed in San Marino? That's a cute town right by Pasadena! So of course i'm feeling a bit nostalgic now too.)

- I only have 3 more loads of laundry to catch up on (excited to have a normal sized washer and dryer in st. Louis)

- chris should be home at noon today (but I don't get my hopes up anymore these days. Doctors work so damn hard)

- the dining room is almost packed

- I finished my painting for the auction at school

- Chris and I watched an amazing show on the history channel last night called "The Real Face of Jesus". It was so good and renewed the faith needed for this weekend.

- tomorrow I get to eat sweets again!

Isn't finding happiness in the littlest things what life is all about? Also, while it's on my mind I've gotta throw this out there: Jude did not go see the Easter bunny this year mostly because I am not a fan of the Easter bunny (for several reasons). I am hoping I can get away with this for at least a couple more years!

Peep peep

Happy early Easter everyone! We've got big plans for this Good Friday: mow the yard and continue packing the house, both of which are sacrifices for me. Hope you enjoy your day!

It's happening

We have officially started packing for real. Now would be a great time to have the superpower of snapping your finger and having your wish come true. I have a strange feeling this could get a little overwhelming.
