Jude loves the other painting of the circles downstairs so I figured I'd do a similar one for his room. He stares and stares at these, which works out quite well for me.

I wanted a painting that was abstract, fun and colorful for our family room. I think it's perfect with our rug and furniture.
The quote is from one of my favorite songs by Coldplay. I feel the placement in our baby's room is totally appropriate.
This painting is HUGE. I'm talking like 48" by 60". It hangs in our stairway which is almost 2 stories tall. You can't really tell how big it is here, but you can trust me. Or come over and see it. I did this randomly one summer day last year. I had no idea what to do, so I just started. The brush kind of led me through the painting, which is by far the most fun part of art. The colors work well in our house.
This painting is one of my favorites. I'm just not sure I've found the right place for it yet. I love to paint flowers, and in this painting I used actual dried out roses as accents. I love the texture and detail they add.
