To remember

You guys, the sweetest thing happened today.

It all started when Jude started 'making' lunch in his oven.  To my surprise, this was our lunch:

You're right, he gave me only an ice cream cone that was perfectly cooked in the oven.

But what happened right after this just broke my heart {in a good way}.  He looked at me and said, "payers momma" which translates to 'prayers momma.'  Ahhh I died.

Again I am reminded that they totally pick up on everything you're doing.  Lesson: Do good things!

3 years

A little happy anniversary to us!

In 3 years of wedded bliss we have:
- had 2 kids
- bought a house (and car)
- moved to St. Louis
- become an MD (Christopher)
- become a stay-at-home mom (super tough job)
- fallen even more in love with each other

We were thinking of our timeline together recently.  It's pretty fab:
2008- met in March
2009- engaged in April
2010- married in June
2011- baby #1 born in June
2012- move to St. Louis in June
2013- baby #2 born in March

So there's that for a crazy ride through life together.  I wouldn't have it with anyone else!  Love my love!

Helping himself...

So I've decided it's kind of hard to post a lot on this here blog.  But I just can't abandon it completely!  So expect some short and sweet posts in the future.

Today {so far} I have 3 stories about Jude.  This kid is really starting to talk...and he's funny! Here are some examples.

Story 1

One day I let Jude put his hand in the chip bag and grab some chips out himself.  I said, "oh you're just gonna help yourself there aren't you?" Sure enough, today at lunch he saw the chip bag in the cupboard and said, "help self....uh course!" Uh course is his new favorite phrase and helping himself to chips is apparently his new favorite past time. The good news is he can afford the calories!  He seriously remembers everything!

Story 2

Last night we were hanging out in the basement skyping with Chris's family.  During the nice Skype sesh Jude decides to take a sip from Lucy's bottle.  We told him not to but he did it anyway (uh course).  Soon after he's running across the basement floor throwing up his entire dinner (sausage and a bun, FYI).  It was guh-rosse!  I was feeding Lucy so Chris handled the sitch.  While he cleaned he kept saying, "dada has to clean up because Jude didn't listen to mommy and daddy!" It was not his best night and went to bed soon after.

So this morning I asked Jude what happened when he drank Lulu's baba.  He said, "dada keen up!"

Can't say he was wrong...

Story 3

Whenever we clean up we sing the song "clean up clean up everybody everywhere, clean up clean up everybody do your share".  Today was no different.  As we were cleaning I sat for a second so he could finish the last part.  Someone didn't like that and said "evbody share momma!"

What a stinker!
