poo-poo

I would just like to draw your attention to the title of this post.  We're not holding anything back here, folks.  It is what it is and when your day revolves around poop, snot and any other bodily function, you just don't give a hoot anymore.

So now that that's out of the way, HEY THERE!  Glad you stuck around.  We had a little success in the poo poo department at our house last night.  Let me give you the deets.

I really don't know when you're supposed to start potty training, but Jude has seemed ready for the past few weeks now. Just so he'd get used to it, I got a froggy potty and put it in the bathroom so he'd sit in it every time we were in the bathroom.  I thought nothing of it, but not too long ago, he started telling us that he was going poo poo.  Realizing what he's doing is the first step right?!  He started to get modest and wanted his privacy, running away if possible, or simply covering his face when he'd go.  So I decided we needed to run to froggy, even if the duty was already done.  But last night, he told us he had to go before he actually went.  So we went to sit on froggy, with the diaper on, and he pooped!  Granted it was in the diaper, but nevertheless, he pooped on froggy!  He was so proud and excited, running around the whole house saying, "poopoo poopoo".  We even told Nana and Grandma the good news.  It was so cute to hear him say "poopoo" on the phone.  After all of that he got a lollipop.  Yay for poop!

proud daddy right there
Look at that face!

So did you think we were done with the bodily functions?  Not quite.  Today was pretty exciting, too.  At lunch Jude said poo poo so we ran up to froggy and sat a while.  I didn't even notice there was something in the potty until after Jude stood up.  He went pee pee in froggy!  Could it get more exciting around here?

hey froggy, whatchu got in there?

pardon the random cup, stethoscope, and shoe in this pic (this is our life in a nutshell)

Dear Jude, We'll remove this pic when you get a little bit older.  Love Mom
My big boy!!
Ok, have you had enough?  I must admit that I sort of have.  Jude's finally napping (my time off from bodily functions) and I just spent like half of it talking about poop and pee.  We're done (until next time)!

PS.  I know I still have pics to share from Thanksgiving.  I just have so many it was too overwhelming to do right now.  That, and the fact that potty training was a tad bit more exciting.  Sorry.

Decking the blog

Hey guys! I decked my halls yesterday because I just couldn't take it anymore. It needs to be Christmas in every part of my life! Be back later with pictures and some exciting news about Jude. (little hint: it involves poop. So unless you are me, it's probably not exciting at all.)

Something cute

We just got back last night from our wonderful Thanksgiving trip to Omaha.  Minus the 4 pukes (twice to Omaha, twice back.....not very happy Jude inherited my car sickness) everything was amazing.  I already miss it!  It's still weird to me that we don't live there.  Good thing Christmas is right around the corner, cause I can't wait to go back!

But before we get into Thanksgiving, I have to share some random pics that I found on my cam.  Have I told you lately how much I love my little man?

The time Jude ate without a highchair

Oh hey Jude (and Elmo)

"Mom, seriously, I'm eating here...."

Why is he such a big boy?

Playing outside

That face says, "Momma, I hear something...."

That face is looking for it....

That face sees it!

BAM!  Hands up....we hear an airplane!

Background story:  I told him one day that airplanes go way up high in the sky.  I put my hands way up in the sky to show him.  Now he always immediately puts his hands in the air when he hears an airplane.

It's pretty much to die for cute!

Ending the day mowing, as usual

So there you have it.  Something cute.  Something very cute.

Be back later to unleash a million more pics.  I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving!
