Welcome Lucy

Guys, she's here!

Ok, technically she's been here for 6 weeks, but I've been spending some time away from blogging and adjusting to life with 2 little ones.  So far, so good.....except for that one time when I found Jude playing in the toilet while I was feeding Lucy....or the time Jude thought it would be fun to color the ottoman red even though I thought I hid the crayons.  Besides a few little mishaps (which I've learned to just let slide otherwise I'll go crazy) things are going rather smoothly.

For the record, it's true what they say about having different priorities when you have kids (plural).  Showers are a luxury, makeup is non-existent, half the time I have no idea what my hair is doing, my outfits consist of what's in arms reach and somewhat fits (I'm not even picky about it being clean...), and leaving the house is a real treat (for all of us).  Life is different, for now, but a good different.  Although I'd be lying to you if I said I didn't miss feeling 'put together'.  I guess there will be a time for that later.

Luckily, Lucy is a great baby!  She sleeps for 3 to 4 hours at a time during the night, which has put us in a great routine (last feeding at 10ish...wakes up at 2 or 3 to eat, then sleeps again for 3ish hours, and I either get up then and shower or snooze a little more until Jude wakes up) .  She eats well (much better than her brother), and has been smiling for 3 weeks now.  She loves to hear her name and LOVES being held and talked to....she even babbles back.  I'm so proud, she's already my social butterfly!

I can't wait to tell you about Lucy's birth story.  I have it half written.  The other half could be finished tomorrow or in 3 weeks, we just never know.  We don't plan much around here anymore, except for doctor's appointments.  Speaking of which, Lucy has one tomorrow.  Poor baby will get some shots.  I'll let you know how that goes!

Thanks for sticking with my little blog over here!  I promise to keep posting!
